The project has been completed. The community in Upper Kabati has been connected to the water system and sewer system of the local water utility in Naivasha, NAIVAWASS. Approximately 8000 residents can make use of these services via Water kiosks, public toilets and yard taps. The kiosk operators have been trained by NAIVAWASS and the community will be sensitized in the use of water and sanitation services in the coming months.
Last week the two board members of the board of directors of Water for Life visited Kenya to see the projects of Water for Life. Since this project has just been completed they also visited Upper Kabati. They have had interactions with the staff and board members of NAIVAWASS, kiosk operators and the local community. The visit has been much appreciated by all parties.
